You were born in our home, on a cold winter's
night. We watched you and touched you until the morning
light. It is here that you learned how to walk and to play, And saw your first snow on your
twenty-first day.
You jumped and you barked and you slid and you ran! As we watched from the window and thought it was grand.
All these days all these nights you've been in our hearts, as we worked to give you the very best start.
One thing you may not know is you'll be leaving soon, To start your new life
and see many moons.
But although you've all gone, and it is just a start, you should know that each one of you leaves with
our hearts.
But more than that, we want you to know, this was and will always be your home. If ever
you need us, no matter the year, just call out our names, and
Glen and I will hear. |
